Good day, Stoics. 🫡Preparation and worry can feel very similar.
Both spend time thinking about the future.
Both try to anticipate problems before they happen.
Both want to avoid unnecessary pain.
But one is useful.
The other slowly drains you.
Preparation usually leads to action.
You make the call.
You save the money.
You train.
You plan.
You handle what can actually be handled.
Then eventually, preparation ends.
Worry doesn’t.
Worry keeps looping long after there’s nothing left to do. It keeps revisiting the same possibilities, trying to gain certainty where certainty doesn’t exist.
That’s the distinction.
Preparation says:”
I’ve done what I can.
“Worry says:”
Yeah, but what if…
Where do you personally notice the line between the two?
Stay steady. ⚔️
