More space, or more resistance?
Good Sunday, Stoic. 🫡
This morning’s challenge was to go the first hour without your phone. Some of you probably handled it clean. Others felt that pull almost immediately.
I’ll be honest on this one.
It was a little more difficult than I expected.
Not because I needed my phone for anything urgent, but because there’s always that quiet thought in the background… what if something comes in? What if I miss something important?
^^^That’s the part worth paying attention to.
Because for most of us, it’s not actually about emergencies. It’s about habit. It’s about being used to checking, staying updated, staying connected at all times. And when you step away from that, even for an hour, you start to see what you’ve been giving your attention to without thinking.
Now, to be clear, this isn’t about being irresponsible. If you truly need to be reachable, keep your phone nearby. That’s not the issue.
The question is whether you’re using it intentionally… or just automatically. That first hour showed you something either way.
Now let’s hear it.💬 How did that change your mindset?
What felt different once you stayed off it?
Did your morning feel more yours, or did you feel the urge to check the entire time?
And after going through it, do you see it as giving something up… or gaining something back?
Drop your reflection and let’s hear what actually shifted for you.
Stay steady. ⚔️
